Patent 5,060,623 presents the electronic control circuit for this ignition coil.  The electronic
control circuit can adjust the spark duration time to match the fuel used in the engine.  The
typical engine that uses this ignition coil will have eight to sixteen cylinders that are about
twelve inches in diameter.  This giant engine is generally used to power large electric
generators, big air conditioning units, or oil pipeline pumps in Alaska.
